Is it possible to be TOO positive? To the point where it could hurt our own mental health? I speak with Justice Bartlett--writer, NLP practitioner, and hypnotherapist--about her philosophy on the balance of the positive and the negative.

I found Justice through her article, "Positive Vibes Only" is Toxic: The Danger of New Age Spiritualism.

We all have different parts inside of us, the child, the caretaker, and the higher self. I talk about creating a balance between the three selves and guide you through a visualization to access your higher self. Your higher self can give you answers, abundance, and guidance. Use this meditation/visualization to practice accessing your higher self when you need it.

This is a visualization that you can use daily to help your body naturally heal what ails you. It's best to listen to this episode in bed, lying on your back, but if that's not comfortable for you then use a soft recliner or chair. This visualization technique is not meant to be used instead or in place of professional medical treatment, but to enhance your body's healing process.

If you are living with illness, chronic disease, or pain, there are many steps you can take to start healing yourself.

In this day and age, we cannot count on the food industry, medical industry, or food industry to help us. We must be in charge of our own bodies. In this episode I go over a few strategies to start helping you heal yourself in this second season of The Peaceful Life Podcast on healing.

Steps to start healing yourself:

  • Mind your thoughts and self-talk
  • Let go of past negativity
  • Remove toxic people from your life
  • Don't participate in verbal negativity
  • Get physical
  • Understand the food you put into your body
  • Laugh and love

An episode on how negative or positive thoughts can affect you, your body, your soul, the people and the world around you. You have the choice how to react to people and situations, and your life becomes so much better, happier, and more peaceful when you choose the positive.

Nobody is perfect. Being "judgy" has been ingrained in our upbringing. But we can catch these thoughts and reframe them. Redirect. You'll be glad you did.
