Thou Art God

Who or what is your god? I talk about the different definitions of god, the evolution of my belief system and how I personally feel god is a part of all of us. I do not impose my beliefs on others, and this episode is not meant to answer any questions. In fact, you can view this show this as a question in itself.

And toward the end of the episode, listen for how I received a kind-of "divine surprise!"

Some things mentioned in this episode:

A conversation with Sergeant Khyhisha Zebley, a law enforcement professional with twenty years of service in a large urban police force. We speak about her experience on the force, and how police departments all over the country are changing to address the problem of undue aggression.

Information about Sergeant Zebley's new podcast can be found at CourageBeyondtheBadge.com

A peace officer is any law enforcement official on a municipal, county, or state level. They are entrusted in keeping the public peace. But we've seen the opposite, lately, covered by the media. Horrific instances of police aggression--specifically against blacks. In this first episode of a two-part series, I speak with podcaster Rave X, about his personal experiences with the police, overall systemic racism, and law enforcement violence against people of color.

Please come back next week, when I interview Sgt. Khyhisha Zebley in the second part of this important show.

Check out Rave's podcast, The Rave X Show on YouTube.

I found that I've been stressed lately - taking on too many commitments, work, and projects. I had to step back and fix it. In this episode I talk about how saying NO can lead to a more balanced and peaceful life.

I grew up in a family of pacifists. A pacifist is defined as someone who is in opposition to war or violence, and the root of the word is peace. We were never allowed even toy guns in our house growing up. So it might surprise you that I had a lovely relationship with a guy who loved guns. This is the story of that relationship and what I found out about this man and his hobby.
